OUR MISSION

Aqwalife’s mission is to provide safe drinking water to fight against these preventable deaths. Our goals include corrective action, which is providing safe drinking water, and preventive action, which is stopping the spreading of waterborne diseases such as cholera, typhoid, and malaria.

Aqwalife improves lives in underprivileged communities by facilitating the access to clean drinking water, sanitation, and micro-infrastructure. We strive to provide access to quality water always (AQWA).

WHO WE ARE

FOUNDED IN 2007

After witnessing firsthand, the amount of people in India afflicted with typhoid and other preventable illness, the Sharma family created the Aqwalife Foundation to donate clean water systems throughout the country.

Today, many of Aqwalife’s volunteers are also employees of Aqwalife’s corporate arm Aquatech LLC (Founded by the late Prem Sharma) and have extensive experience as water treatment engineers.

By combining pro-bono design expertise and charitable donations, Aqwalife has grown to support communities in need throughout the world. It has been a gratifying 15 years so far, and we look forward to Aqwalife’s impact growing considerably in the face of climate change related water issues.

Aqwalife has facilitated access to clean water & sanitation for nearly 100,000 individuals worldwide and has no plans of slowing down. We look forward to expanding our reach in 2023.

Aqwalife is passionate about climate resilience projects and has begun to work these initiatives into our overall strategy.

WATER-CENTRIC EDUCATION

To provide education related to waterborne disease and water scarcity, while also continuing to provide education in communities we’ve served so that clean water infrastructure will remain sustainable.

Aqwalife and WaterAid in Columbia worked on water, sanitation and hygiene projects for Poromana and Santa Cruz schools.  WaterAid has been on a clean water mission for more than 40 years and now plan to reach 400 million more people with  in the next decade.
