Construction of a Borewell for Big Goal Foundation School in Mityana, Uganda

Aqwalife and Big Goal Foundation (BGF) are excited by the completion of a borewell that will benefit hundreds of orphans and students attending BGF School in Mityana, Uganda.  Prior to the construction of this borehole, student relied entirely on rainwater harvesting.

Going into the dry season, teachers were worried the containers would soon run dry and students would need to travel long distances to collect rainwater for drinking and washing. This borewell will provide a reliable source of water for students and allow them to focus on what matters most: education!

The goal of this project is to improve both community health status and access to safe water sources.  The scope of work for the project is to increase safe water access in the Mityana District, Kiganwa Village, Uganda community.
